About
“The ear is my terrain. I build in harmony with its architecture.”
— Dom Von
Luxury body piercing and fine jewelry compositions in Los Angeles, shaped by anatomy, proportion, discernment, and aesthetic intelligence.
Dom Von Studio was founded in 2020 by Dom Von, a multidisciplinary artist and cultural anthropologist. Every client is met with an anthropologist’s eye: adornment is read as ritual, social language, protection, status, and self-authorship long before it is decoration.
The work is design discernment coupled with transformative vision. Discernment is knowing what belongs, what to edit, and what the body already offers. Vision is seeing what a composition could become, and how a single placement can change the way a person is seen and the way they see themselves.
Before anything is placed, the person is studied: their anatomy, their presence, the way they move and want to be seen. Every composition is then built in relation to what is already there, the way a structure is shaped to honor its land. This is piercing understood as architecture, and adornment placed among high art and high fashion.
The work moves between restraint and opulence, always in service to the individual. Some compositions are delicate and spare. Others are rich, layered, and unapologetically full.
Aesthetic Intelligence
Anatomy, proportion, skin tone, scale, symmetry, and personal style, considered together. A piercing may be small, but its placement can change the entire presence of the body.
Jewelry That Lives Well
Every piece is chosen for comfort, healing, material quality, and how it will settle into the composition over time.
Discernment
Knowing when a composition calls for restraint and when it calls for more, and giving the body presence without crowding it.
At the core of the studio is a devotion to exceptional jewelry, precise work, and the kind of attention that helps each client feel deeply seen.
The Body Art Research & Advancement Fund
A portion of every Dom Von Studio project is reinvested into continued study, documentation, specialized materials, and the development of body art as a serious visual discipline.
